Jacko
Size: 12.2 ish
Sex: Gelding
Colour: Grubby grey
Born: 2000
Breeding: Bodmin Moor
A few years ago one of my previous horses would not settle so a companion was needed. Jacko is on a life long loan from South West Equine Protection (SWEP) a charity that rescues and rehomes moorland equines who are abandoned or suffering from neglect and cruelty.
Jacko has quite a story he was sent to Hallworthy market where his fate would not have been favourable. He escaped from the market and went on the run! He spent 12 months on a farmers land but eventually the farmer became fed up and threatened to shoot him. The farm hands rang SWEP who managed to rescue him.
He is unbroken and an ideal companion. He is cheeky in nature, nearly impossible to catch and an absolute expert at escaping. There are times I swear he is more trouble than he is worth but really he is an important member of the team.
